Summary | 0003737: Clarification for "simple bounding values" and extrapolation needed
Description | Chapter 3.1.8 clearly describes extrapolation when using "interpolated bounding values". Chapter 3.1.9 (simple bounding values) says "If either bounding time of an interval is beyond the last data point then extrapolation may be used if the Server feels it is appropriate for the data.", but for me it is not clear, what kind of extrapolation shall be used. Can it use sloped extrapolation if the last two values before the timestamp have status good, otherwise stepped extrapolation?

Fixed in Part 13 1.04 RC Draft 2 Added text to give simple example of what extrapolation can be used. As well as added text to indicate the Server may chose extrapolation based in its internal knowledge of the data. |
