Description

The profiles describe the minimum number of session for certain profiles, but it does not describe the minimum by number of secure channels that should be provided. This should also be included in the profile.

When defining the minimum number of secure channels for the nano and micro embedded profiles please consider that the TCP connection for each secure channel requires one send and one receive buffer with minimum size 8192 bytes according to the OPC UA TCP Hello/Acknowledgement messages of Part 6 Mappings. Adding multiple secure channels makes the memory usage growing quickly for an embedded resource constrained device.
